Even though sometimes it feels to us like our freedoms are dwindling away as we watch our state and nation struggle financially and socially, we are thankful that the beauty of places like Lake Almanor. Wednesday, July 22, 2009. During our last week and a half, Melissa and I came across a super cute bar with a fantastic happy hour and volleyball court. We ended up spending almost every night from there on our playing volleyball with a bunch of the locals and some of our friends from the clinic. He basically runs the clinic. This poor boy had a fever.

Around the World Adventure! Friday, September 25, 2009. This is Vernazza, one of the 5 fishing villages in Cinque Terra. It is where we stayed. The harbor of Vernazza at night. After WE, yes I said WE, jumped off some rocks about 20 FEET high. That is good for Kelly, not big deal for Chad. This is the view from our room! Part of the trail at Cinque Terra, it was so hot that we had to hike in our swim suites. A couple of the wines Chad got to try.
